Earth Day is always a day that makes me take a moment to remind myself of why I care so passionately for this planet of ours and it serves as an opportunity to remind myself to take action daily to live in a way that is becoming increasingly better for Mother Earth. I sat this morning and jotted down some Earth Day thoughts- here they are!

I am so lucky, along with so many other people, to live along the shores of Lake Michigan. I feel a little extra lucky that the beach closest to my heart and to my home is a certified Blue Wave beach.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget that our daily conveniences come with a price. It’s easy to go about our days and forget the impact each one of us has on this planet with every action we take.

Here in the Wisconsin, Spring is finally starting to make it's way back into our lives. I will be the first to tell you, I could not be more excited. I thrive off of rising temperatures and sunshine, it makes me a much better human.
So, I had a post all drafted and ready to post for today about how to protect your hair while playing in the ocean. I decided that could wait, because today I have something much more important on my mind.
Beach cleans are great! They are the perfect way to get outside, get near the water, and help to keep the beaches and our waters clean!
When you think of Bali what comes to mind? For most people thoughts of picture perfect beaches, beach clubs, yoga retreats, markets, rice terraces and smoothie bowls come to mind. I can admit, that's pretty accurate.
Plastic bottles, plastic utensils, plastic bags, plastic plastic plastic. I know, we hear about how bad plastic is all. the. time but that's because it's true! That stuff never goes away!
On our last day of Spring Break, my parents and I took a nice long beach walk to look for shells. While we did find lots of shells we also found lots of glass.
I will be the first to admit, I don't turn down a straw when out to eat. I request a straw with my coffee at Starbucks to try and keep my temporary fake teeth from staining.
I’ve been complacent and comfortable lately which has led to me not paying enough attention to what and how I am consuming. Sometimes I need a reminder to walk the walk instead of just talk the talk about positively impacting the planet. Here’s what I’m doing right now!
