The Story Behind This Picture

Here is a picture of me today, post workout.

It's nothing crazy, just me with half my face covered, post workout drink in had, not filtered or edited. This was taken as I walked out of the bathroom after trying to take a handful of photos to get one to post as my "sweaty selfie" in the facebook group I am a part of. Usually my selfie is a one and done with little care or thought about it, but today for some reason it wasn't. The funny thing is, today I woke up feeling super confident which is a result of a few weeks of consistency in the work out department and just three simple days of nailing it in the nutrition department. As I started to snap pictures, though, I felt like none of them reflected how I felt this morning. This photo did. And like I said it was the last photo I took. I started to walk out the bathroom, caught my reflection in the mirror and took one more photo. This last photo was not posed. I didn't search for the best angle. It was simple. And that is what these last few weeks have started to show me. Getting in shape doesn't have to be this big crazy plan. A handful of quality workouts each week, eating real food that is great for your body and a little bit of consistency will make you feel great! And in all honesty when you feel great you look great! (even though I know that is cheesy, it's true).

Bonus pic: This was one of the previously mentioned posed pictures. I caught a glimpse of my back while trying to take a good picture and noticed a couple little baby back muscles starting to poke through (the lighting for sure helped these little muscles be seen but hey it's a start!)
