Scenic Surf
I have to say, I think tonights surf tops my list of most beautiful surfs. It was the kind of beauty that pictures can't capture and words can't describe, but I'm going to try and describe it anyway.
My dad, sister, and I were greeted as we walked down the beach by one of the most vibrant rainbows I've seen and it was sharing the sky with a second, barely there, rainbow. Both ends of the rainbows were visible, the middles however were covered by a blanket of golden clouds. The bright colors of the rainbows and the golden clouds popped against the deep purple, clouded sky.
Somehow, as the blanket of purple moved inland, the lighthouse at the end of the pier remain illuminated by the bit of sunlight that was left.
The waves built in size during the time we were in the water. 2-3 ft walls of water, in oceanic shades of blue and green, arose around us. With all the colors we were surrounded by, I would have been just as content paddling out on a flat lake and just taking in the show mother nature was putting on.
As the rain moved in, a purple tint overcame everything in sight, and once the rain finally arrived it was like looking at the world through a pair of deep blue, tinted sunglasses.
When the rain arrived the last of our sunlight disappeared signaling the end of our scenic surf session.
