When it comes to workout clothes I am pretty faithful to Lululemon. It is my go to. I don't think there has ever been something that I bought that I absolutely didn't like. My work out drawers are easily 99% luon. I'm mildly obsessed and it's hard for me to stray from what I know I like. After Christmas though, I found myself with a Roxy gift card and decided to stray. What peaked my interest in the Roxy fitness line was the items that were meant for working out in and out of the water. Mix in a few pretty shades of blue and some fun patterns and I was sold. I ended up buying the "Sand to Sea leggings" and the "Keep it ROXY Sporty 70's Halter Bikini Top" (marketed under the fitness swimsuit category. Also not so much a halter top, more of a racer back, but more on details later.)

Top first impressions:

  • Super cute pattern and color.

  • Fabric feels nice.

  • Has a low cut neckline but still appears to be decent coverage.

  • Not a halter top. It is a racer back.

Legging first impressions:

  • Material feels like that of a rash guard.

  • Looks like they may be a little short and also very low rise.

Top first try on:

  • Mostly full coverage while still being a low cut, fun neckline. Usually very hard for me to find, thumbs up!

  • True to size.

  • Doesn't feel like it's digging in anywhere.

  • The plastic fastener on the back and you can barely even tell it is there.

  • I don't think I could do high impact activities in it, like run or dance, but will be perfectly suitable for lower impact activities like yoga, weights, surfing.

Legging first try on:

  • True to size.

  • Good length, didn't end up being too short.

  • Feels nice, not baggy or bunchy anywhere.

  • I wish they were a little higher cut. I prefer leggings with a higher waist, but thats just a personal preference.

  • Don't appear to be see through when bent over.

Top first work out (weight and strength training at home):

  • Fits super well. No digging in or restricting.

  • Considering the low cut it holds the girls in quite well.

  • Stayed in place well for weight training. Budged a little bit during some post work out yoga stretches. Would not work for me for high impact.

Pant first work out (weight and strength training at home):

  • The elastic waistband folds/rolls over a bit, but nothing too major.

  • Comfortable and flexible.

  • Biggest annoyance: there is a little pocket on the inside of the back hip that would only really be able to hold a single key, maybe. The pocket is only secured at the top, not the bottom corners, so the pocket moves around and bunches up leaving you with a weird bulge on your right hip.

Overall I am actually really happy with my purchases. I can't wait until it finally warms up (in what, 4 months? 5 months?) so I can try out both pieces in the water because truthfully that is the main selling point of both this top and the leggings for me.
