So often peoples birthday’s come around and they reflect on things they may have learned in their (insert age) years on this planet. I thought about doing that, but then I decided to switch things up. Instead, today I am just going to share 23 things that make me insanely happy, in no particular order, in honor of my own 23rd birthday. 

  1. Time spent with my family on the beach. 

  2. Playing in the waves. Be it the ocean or lake, on a surfboard or not, the water can always make me happy. 

  3. Traveling to new places and the amazing, beautiful, inspiring people I meet along the way. 

  4. Nights in with my best friends, a glass or two of wine and lots of laughs.

  5. Writing. 

  6. Freshly done nails or hair. For some reason having my nails done or getting my hair done just really makes me feel like I have my life together.

  7. Sea Turtles. Those little dudes (okay they aren't always so little) are just my favorite creatures. I think I would even call them my spirit animal.

  8. The warm feeling of the sun when it shines on my cheeks and shoulders.

  9. My weekly trip to the chiropractor.

  10. The way that getting some work done while at a coffee shop makes me feel just a little more productive. 

  11. The smell of surf wax. 

  12. A perfectly ripe mango.

  13. Palm trees.

  14. Watching the people I care about do really well and succeed in the things they are passionate about. 

  15. Lululemon leggings. 

  16. My leather jacket that can make any outfit I have look a little bit better. 

  17. Coconut ice cream. 

  18. Coconut anything actually- coconut oil lip gloss, a coconut milk late, coconut scented lotions. 

  19. Taking photos on film. There is something so beautiful about the surprise of getting back your photos and also having a tangible memory to hold. 

  20. Jamming out to the Hamilton or RENT original broadway cast recordings.

  21. This little creative space I have created for myself. This blog is my little labor of love.

  22. Getting a good, sweaty work out in and feeling strong!

  23. A good book. Preferably read while lounging in the sun near some body of water.
