Thoughts from a Girl on the Go

Bouncing between jobs, coffee shop work spaces and my own unfinished office has me feeling very go go go lately and through it all I’ve found that I have a few reoccurring thoughts popping into my head throughout the week:
1. How can my little purse hold so much junk?
Most days I carry two bags- my laptop/work bag and a fairly small (compared to most purses I usually gravitate towards) crossbody bag. It boggles my mind how much has been able to find a home in this small bag. Chapstick, a few lipsticks, tissues, my wallet, a couple snacks (currently I’ve got two clementines floating around), my headset for one job, miscellaneous receipts and scratch paper, my sunglasses with a case and a koozie or two. It’s kind of impressive, really, if I do say so myself.
2. What day is it, which podcasts do I get to listen to today?
Podcasts help make drive time so much more enjoyable and I am starting to accumulate quite the list of ones I enjoy! I think I am starting to keep track of what day of the week it is only because I know which podcasts come out when.
3. *constant internal debate between using just Google Calendar or a paper planner*
I love putting pen to paper and I feel like I super have my life together when I’m consistently using a planner, but the thing is I find it hard to stay consistent with it while on the go! I put off joining team Google Calendar for quite a while, but I have to say I really do like it! I always have it with me and I can assign things like personal appointments and each of my jobs their own colors making it super easy to read! I’m an avid list maker so I’m toying with the idea of using the Google Calendar for the bulk of scheduling but maybe trying to get back in the grove of using a physical planner for planning my days in more detail and scheduling the things on my to do lists into my days?
Speaking of lists...
4. Oh, I can't forget *insert thing or thought* better add it to my list!
Like I said, I'm an avid list maker. I've got daily to do lists, general to do lists, lists of things to not forget, lists of ideas for blog posts, the list of lists goes on and on. Drive time is the perfect time to get lots of thinking done, which means I end up making a mental list of things to put onto my actual list.
5. How long have I had my headphones in with nothing playing?
I often catch myself sitting with headphones in and nothing playing. In most cases it's because the podcast I was listening to ended and I was too busy in the middle of whatever project I was working on to really notice. I've noticed I do this in airports too, I pause what I'm listening to so that I can talk to a store clerk or flight attendant and just totally forget to hit play again.
